How to play Airsoft with your Friends
63Airsoft games require people!
By now you probably know what airsoft is. Now you are excited about playing it! Truly the possibilities are endless!
To play an airsoft game you will need:
- An airsoft gun for each player. (200 fps with 0.2s minimum)
- At least 4 people
- Adequate eye and face protection (full face masks recommended)
- A private place to play (no passerbys)
- Enough BBs to play (200 / person minimum)
Old Glory
Black Thunder
Airsoft guns for each player
The guns you use must shoot reasonably fast (200 fps with 0.2 gram BBs or is the bare minimum) and have a reasonable rate of fire (12/minute for a springer). This ensures that everyone can have fun. Some cheap airsoft guns break or you lose magazines, so guns have to be loaded through the barrel. While they still shoot, having your friends play with them is not cool. Ask them to buy an airsoft gun.
More people the merrier!
At least 4 people
While it is possible to play with less than 4 people, having 4 people brings the game to a different level - it is difficult to keep track of 3 other people at the same time, so you are less inclined to "camp" in one spot!
Face and hands protection
Adequate face protection
Adequate face protection is a key! Playing without this may cost you an eye or a chipped tooth. Even guns at 200 FPS can chipĀ a tooth at close ranges! Please purchase adequate face protection!
Ensure that everyone has eye protection and they wear it!
A private piece of land
Airsoft should be played on private property, this is why woodland and other remote locations are often set up as airsoft fields by the property owner. Farms make good airsoft fields due to a variety of terrain and cover. Paintball fields recently started to host more and more airsoft games, so if you are considering airsoft, inquire if your local paintball field is hosting some games. This is a great way to check out the airsoft equipment in action without having to buy a thing!
